Start Your Week with Energy

Another week is here! We are almost two months through 2022. Hopefully, things are going well and you’re well on your way to your yearly goals.

As the year goes on, it can be hard to maintain the energy you had at the beginning of January. Routines can get dull pretty quickly.

Don’t let off the gas! Make this week your best week of the year (so far). Here are four tips to start your week with energy:

1)  Get a workout in

There’s no better way to inject energy into your Monday than starting it off with a bang. Monday morning exercise gets your blood flowing and mind moving. You can’t get off on a better foot.

Whether you take a group class, a virtual class, go for a walk, or something else. Start your week strong and healthy. Whatever you do, don’t wait for the day to come to you. Go out and take it!

2)  Plan your week out now

Thorough preparation makes its own luck. Don’t let anything catch you by surprise this week. Be ready for anything and everything. You have to have a plan for your week.

Life is busy. There are a lot of moving parts and things we need to get done before next week. We have to work, exercise, eat right, and be there for our friends and family. Without proper planning, it’s going to be very hard to get all that done.

3)  Eat right

If you want to tackle this week with a ton of energy this week, you have to fuel yourself properly! Your diet has one of the biggest impacts on your energy levels. Without healthy, energy-boosting foods, you’re going to be tired.

Every meal, fill up on protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. Make sure your snacks have fiber and antioxidants that will help you stay full and energetic throughout the day. Try to stop eating a few hours before bed.

4)  Get to bed early

Hard work makes you sleepy. Once you’ve crushed Monday, you’re going to be tired. Along with eating right, getting the right amount of sleep is one of the most important things you can do to boost your energy.

Most guidelines say healthy adults need six to eight hours of quality sleep every night. It can be tempting to forego some sleep in favor of more work, but you should not do that. Without sleep, your body can’t recover, and you won’t be at your best throughout the week.
