“GRIT is pushing through any obstacle your way and relentless in your pursuit of greatness!”
The simple key to success is simple: Grit, Dedication, and Commitment. You aren’t guaranteed anything in life, but if you work hard and put all your attention into your intentions with the utmost clarity and conviction to what you want and your goals, you can achieve things you never thought possible!
You grow through what you go through. You can achieve anything when you have the grit to persevere!
Because we firmly believe that the stronger the mindset, the stronger the motivation & grit to achieve success!
You see, it’s all about GRIT!
So, let’s start by celebrating grit
Celebrating Grit
Grit (noun): Courage and resolve; strength of character.
Grit is synonymous with toughness. If something is gritty, it’s rough around the edges from many various run-ins with adversity. It’s gone toe to toe with many different challenges and come out diverse, more challenging, and grittier on the other side.
Grit isn’t something you’re born with; it develops when you consistently put yourself in situations outside of your comfort zone. You create something in yourself when you find your passion and persevere, through thick and thin, until you reach your goals.
Celebrating your grit doesn’t mean throwing a party every time you do something well; it just means acknowledging your growth and your determined spirit, and it means you prepare yourself the next time you must do something hard.
1) Small Steps Lead to Big Success
Trust the wait, embrace the hardship, and enjoy the beauty of becoming an inspiration.
Make small goals every day, and get % better each day. Your small practices will become a huge success one day!
As you work towards your goals, you will see yourself breaking personal records and reaching all different fitness milestones no matter what they are.
So, celebrate your small wins and enjoy the process.
Change your lifestyle!
Celebrate the small stuff
Grit doesn’t have to mean doing the most challenging thing possible all the time. Sometimes, making a healthy, small choice is difficult and takes determination. You must know that even the smallest choices can have consequences.
Examples:
- Getting in the gym when you don’t want to
- Skipping that donut in the break room
- Using constructive feedback
- Taking time to recover
At face value, these things don’t seem hard to do. However, we all feel the temptation to cheat a little bit when we’re not supposed to. Ignoring that temptation takes mental and physical toughness and deserves to be celebrated. Please pat yourself on the back, acknowledge that you made the right decision, then do it again.
2) Make life easy with plan & preparation
Regardless of what life has thrown your way, we will share five simple ways to ensure you are back at it and working towards your goals today.
Commit to yourself: Remember why you started, why you are on this journey in the first place. Your WHY should be robust and keep you going when you want to give up.
Decide and act: Your conditions will never be “ideal,” but you need to start. So, decide and GO!
Build momentum by winning: Confidence is following through with a few promises you make yourself. Until you do that, you will start building the positive momentum you need to win.
Planning your success day: Create your game plan for success. It can be as simple as sitting down and writing out a list of things you need to do to win the day, or you can plan your day in your calendar by the hour.
Create more accountability: Whether it is a coach or a friend, responsibility will not only help you get back on track. But it will make the journey a lot more enjoyable knowing you have the support and encouragement you need when tough times arise.
If you have lost your motivation, then do not worry.
Invest in your health and fitness journey.
Plan for the big stuff
Preparation is a huge part of grit. It would be best if you planned to face those hard times head-on. Without a plan, you will have difficulty making those tough choices and finding lasting success. Without a plan, you won’t know what to do when things don’t go your way.
Plan for things to go right and for them to go wrong. That way, you’ll never be surprised when things don’t go how you want them to.
You must prepare for your body’s natural aging processes as you age. You can negate them to some extent with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a strong, gritty mindset.
Examples:
- Consistently eating healthy foods, such as green vegetables, lean meats, and healthy fats
- Maintaining an exercise routine in which you can constantly improve
- Taking time to work on your mindset with meditation
- Giving your body ample time to recover with sleep and rest
Anybody can do these things occasionally; it takes grit to do them daily. It’ll be challenging when you start, but you’ll find it more manageable once habits form. Being healthy will be a part of your life, and you’ll thank yourself because you’ll feel better, have more energy, and be able to tackle whatever comes your way. At that point, you’ll be able to understand and celebrate what it means to have grit indeed.
