You are strong – and you are only getting stronger!
“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” -Arnold Schwarzenegger
You are strong, and your strength inspires others. You may not think you are, but you are. Everybody goes through unique struggles every single day. Your struggle is what makes you, you. As Arnold said, these struggles are what make you strong.
Your decision to continue to get better takes strength. Many people remain stagnant. Their improvement stops, and they give up on themselves. Not you; however, you know you can’t do that.
Throughout this week, try to remember how strong you are, especially when times get tough. When you can’t tackle a challenge, remember another time that you struggled at first, only to overcome the obstacle and succeed.
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.” – Ambrose Redmoon
Failure is something we all know too well. We all have been knocked down by something and then kicked while we were down. That’s just a part of life.
Strength is when you take that fear of failure and throw it away.
It is when we take chances on things that we aren’t sure will work.
Strength is when we step out of our comfort zone as explorers, ready to discover something new and bold.
Be courageous this week. Throw away the fear you have and push through. Grow. Learn. Change. Become a better version of yourself this week. Even if you fail at something, get back up and try something else with a smile on your face and courage in your heart.
“It is our attitude toward events, not events themselves, which we can control. Nothing is by its own nature calamitous – even death is terrible only if we fear it.” – Epictetus
Attitude is everything. Smiling in the face of adversity takes strength. It is not easy to smile at a challenge that you have no idea how to overcome but doing so is essential for your mental health and continued progress.
When you look at things with a glass-half-empty attitude, you’re more likely to give it a half-effort. When you give something a half-effort, you are going to fail. Look at every challenge, every downfall, every new problem you face as an opportunity to grow.
When you succeed, celebrate. You earned it. At the end of this week, we know you’ll be celebrating a job well done.
