You need to celebrate your strength.

Celebrate Your Strengths, Recognize Your Weaknesses.

“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” – Bob Marley

Nobody is good at everything, but everybody is good at something. Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses in all areas of life.

It’s Friday, so we must celebrate. This week, we celebrate strength. Strength comes in many forms. Muscular, mental, emotional, all these forms of strength are essential. Some people are strong in all areas. Others are still working on them.

This weekend, take some time to celebrate your strength. Identify strengths, recognize your weaknesses, then focus on those strengths while you work on the weaknesses.

Identify your strengths – It would be best if you were self-aware of what you are good at. You probably already know many things you’re good at, but sometimes it’s hard to identify what your true strengths are.

A strength is something like your determination, resilience, or ability to smile through it all. Whatever your strengths are, you must identify them to focus on them.

Even in failure, there is strength to be found. When something doesn’t go your way, find the silver lining. What’s something that you did, right? Even if you feel like you did everything wrong, you’ll be surprised how much good you can take from how you react in a bad situation.

Recognize your weaknesses – For many people, there’s no need to identify weaknesses. They already know what they are. As humans, we focus much energy on what we’re not doing well. It helps us avoid the pain we may experience if we repeat the same action.

However, focusing your energy on your weakness can be detrimental to your growth. Instead, it would be best if you recognized it, acknowledged you need to do something about it, then did it. It would be best if you did not dwell on your weakness. Recognize it and move to the next thing.

If you didn’t do something right this week, you must recognize why. Otherwise, you’ll be destined to repeat the same cycle of lackluster results.

Focus on your strength – Even if you’re good, you can always get better. If you have a strong bench press, you can always add more weight. You can always make your good great. The sky is the limit when you have the right attitude.

Focusing on your strengths reinforces them. It will make you stronger and more able to tackle your weak points. Seeing yourself succeed with your strengths will also energize you to turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Work on your weaknesses – Weaknesses do not have to be permanent. You can turn them into strengths with hard work and intentionality. Natural talent is rare. You have your strengths because you worked on things that were weaknesses at one point.

Just working on something you’re not good at takes strength. Nobody gives themselves enough credit for working on weaknesses. It takes a lot of effort to work on weak points actively and intentionally. Failure is certain to come up. When you aren’t afraid of that failure, that weakness will become your strength.
