From the FNS Family to yours, we want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Like the name of the holiday suggests, today is all about being thankful for what you have. One of the most important things you can have is your health.
Even if you aren’t satisfied with some things, be thankful that you are alive and surrounded by people who care about you. That’s a beautiful thing that deserves to be cherished.
On a day that is all about eating a lot of food with your family, take a moment to appreciate that you have the ability to do so. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
You can cheat today
Thanksgiving has a reputation as a holiday of excessive amounts of food. It comes around once a year and it’s usually followed by food-induced naps and football. It is okay to enjoy it. You should enjoy it.
It’s okay to let loose on your diet (and the belt – pro tip: wear pants with an elastic waistband), so long as you don’t have health conditions that prevent that. Go ahead and grab that second helping of your favorite side.
Tomorrow, get back to eating healthy. Holidays are special occasions. Your mental health will thank you for not being restrictive with the mashed potatoes.
You will get better
You’ve been on the path to success with us. The more you work, the better and healthier you will get. It’s okay to take a load off today. Thank yourself for the work you’ve put in and the work you’re going to put in.
Use today to think about your successes and failures. Like we talked about on Monday, there is no need to regret the failures. Be thankful you tried something and gained experience. Without struggle, you wouldn’t be where you are today.
Tomorrow, you continue on the road to success. Aim to finish the year strong and enter 2022 stronger, happier, and healthier than you started 2021.
