How to set our goals?

Set your Goals by answering – WHO, WHAT, WHY, HOW, WHEN!

There are a lot of ways to attack your goal. Usually, people start with WHAT, but it starts with WHO! If you have accomplished something, but you have not changed who you are in that process for longevity, you will become very unfulfilled. Because you did not grow something different, you did not become a new leader.

When we set goals, we must make sure we know what we want to accomplish as fulfillment comes from finishing something. We need to know why is it important to us, what does it take, who do we want to become at the end of this journey, how will we achieve this, and when do we plan to achieve these goals.

It is crucial to audit yourself before you set your goals. It is vital to start inward before you look outward. Take a moment and go through the questions below:

WHO: Who is the leader you are going to become?

 What are your Current Strengths?

What are your weaknesses?

What are you no longer willing to tolerate?

Who do you need to surround yourself with more?

WHAT: Backwards Engineer the goal. Start at 12 months and work your way down to the first month. This makes you own the process. You always start the journey knowing where you want to finish. This pertains to everything.

Water:

WHY: What is driving you? Why now? What is the cost of you not progressing forward in your life?

HOW: How are you going to act differently than you have in the past?

What new habits and behaviors are you committed to you?

WHEN: Have accountability checkpoints on the 12 months, 9 months, 6 months, 3 months, and 6 weeks. This accountability checkpoint is to help us stay on track and stay on it!

 Action items this week:

  1. Set your goals for the next 12 months
  2. Take at least 4 FNS classes this week
  3. Measure and log your stats.
