Stay disciplined this week

You’re on the 361st lap of a 365-lap race. The finish line is four laps away. How are you going to finish these last few laps? Are you going to take it slow?

You have made it to the last week of the year! 2022 is right around the corner. This week is all about staying disciplined and powering through the finish line.

What’s your plan for finishing the year on the right foot so you can keep going next year? This week, work hard so you can celebrate the new year in style. Here are some goals to follow.

Work out three times

This week is probably busy for you. Your fitness shouldn’t take a backseat, though. What better way to finish strong than by getting stronger?

Make an effort to exercise at least three times this week. You can take in-person classes, virtual classes, or do one of the prerecorded workouts on the FNS Online Training Center.

Work out with maximum intensity. Make each of the three workouts your best efforts of the entire year. Go out with a bang!

Eat right

The holiday season is a minefield for binge eating. Christmas, like Thanksgiving, puts you in a situation to eat a lot of food. That’s great at the time! Eating delicious food with family is great and you shouldn’t have to limit yourself.

New Year’s Eve and Day are the next obstacles for your waistline. You can limit the guilt and physical ills of the overeating and drinking you will do by eating right for the rest of the week.

Plan your meals today. Stick to them – no cheating. You will feel much better about indulging if you know you earned the right to do it.

Get ready to crush next year’s goals.

Hopefully, you already have your goals for next year set. You should have a plan and an outline for what you need to do to achieve them. If not, get on it! The last thing you want is to look back next year and wish you had done more.

This week, prepare to hit the ground running when January starts. Don’t wait; if you are able, start January 1st. Yes, it’s a holiday and a Saturday. But do you really want to wait until Monday when you could get two extra days of goal crushing? Of course not! You can and should get started on your goals as soon as you can.
